Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets in conjunction with QR National are proud
to be launching a school based program targeted at educating primary
school aged children on safety and in particular their safety around all facets
of trains and railways.

I am very excited about Mondays. Behind The News (BTN) is an amazing resource, Most of us probably have fond memories of it for our school days.
Apart from informing the student as to current affairs, the main learning BTN targets or attempts to elicit, is group discussion. Through our literacy circles, 5W has proven that focused and cohesive discussions pertaining to a given subject can be done well with terrific results.
On Monday, week students will examine and learn about; how our defence dollars are spent, skinny models, living below the poverty line, circus animals and shark science.
